PE-MENTOR for Pro/ENGINEER ®
PE-TRONIC is equipped with a number of interfaces for Printed Circuit Board layout systems, e.g.
Mentor Graphics Board Station. The corresponding interface module PE-MENTOR was realized using the
Pro/TOOLKIT API interface. The application features the following functions:
Export with PE-MENTOR
The information extracted through the PE-MENTOR analysis is directly translated into the
MENTOR-format. The export file contains the following sections and information:

Automatisms
Export of an offset keepout-area around cuts with a configurable distance. Export of a power frame
along the outer contour of the PCB with a configurable frame width. Export of Antipads around
holes. Antipads are exported to the layer "power" as circles with a diameter 1mm larger than the
hole's diameter.
Additional Functions of PE-MENTOR
Several configuration files enable the user to adapt PE-MENTOR to his personal requirements.
