PE-TOPCAD for Pro/ENGINEER ®
PE-TRONIC is equipped with a number of interfaces for PCB layout systems, e.g. Integra Station by
Mentor Graphics (SETO GmbH). The corresponding interface module PE-TOPCAD was realized using the
Pro/DEVELOP programming interface. The application is subdivided into the following sections:
Export with PE-TOPCAD
The information extracted through the PE-TRONIC analysis is translated into the top-CAD format
"TXF" and afterwards written to an export file. It contains the following sections and information:
- HEADER
- SHAPE_DEFINITIONS
- TYP_DEFINITIONS
- COMPONENT_LIST
- LAYOUT
- NET_LIST
- GRAPHIC_ELEMENTS
Additional Functions of PE-TOPCAD
PE-TOPCAD can be operated in batch-mode. The export of circuit boards from PE-TRONIC can thus be
activated from the top-CAD surface. Different configuration files enable the user to adapt
PE-TOPCAD to his personal requirements.
