PE-TUBE for Pro/ENGINEER ®
Export of Tube Cutting Data in Pro/E
PE-TUBE for Pro/ENGINEER is a tool for the export of tube cutting data. Through its use a
continuous process sequence from design through to manufacturing of the tubes can be maintained.
PE-TUBE determines and exports all geometric parameters of intersections between tubes.
Based on this data an individual adaption to your NC-cutting machinery (e.g. laser cutting machine)
ensures a continuous and hassle free process sequence all the way from the design of your finished
assembly through to the NC-machined part.

Parameters of the machined Tube
- partname
- systemlength
- wall thickness
- outer diameter
- number of cuts
- cut type (cylinder/plane)
- axis rotation angle
- tube radius (cylinders)
- start and end angle (cylinder)
Functionality of PE-TUBE
Based on the finished part the data required for machining the tube is determined. The export of
the intersections geometric parameters is independant from the way the part was designed.
Additional Functions
PE-TUBE is capable of analysing the intersections of multiple tubes. Furthermore it is possible to
export Pro/ENGINEER specific parameters.
Possibilities of Exporting with PE-TUBE
- part mode: analysis and export of the current model
- assembly mode: export of all parts in an assembly identified as tubes
- batch mode: all parts and assemblies contained in a file list can be exported in a batch
process
Supported Hard- and Software
PE-TUBE is available for all current Pro/ENGINEER versions running on most popular platforms
(UNIX/Windows).
