Creo OTK Java Free / J-Link (Java API)
From 21 September to 2 October 2026, you will have the opportunity to take part in our training course on Creo Object TOOLKIT Java Free (J-Link) for PTC Creo Parametric. We run the training course virtually over two weeks or in person over one week.
Creo Object TOOLKIT Java Free (J-Link) is a free, Java-based application programming interface (API) for customising, extending and automating PTC Creo Parametric. It covers a large part of Creo’s functionality, making it the ideal introduction to Creo programming with Java.
In this training course, you will learn how to develop your own J-Link applications: from setting up the development environment and accessing CAD models to the automated generation of parts, assemblies and drawings.
Training content
Fundamentals
- An overview of the Creo APIs and their areas of application
- Installation and configuration of J-Link
- Java basics (optional)
- Structure of a J-Link application
Working with CAD models
- Access to models and model data
- Analysing components (design elements and geometry)
- Assemblies and assembly structures
- Parameters and dimensions
Analysing and modifying models
- Analysis and modifications to components and assemblies
- Analysis of drawings
