Link4Pro - SF research project
The challenge for production companies is to efficiently organise their workflows, processes and their intralogistical links along the value chain. The existing value chains and their production facilities offer potential for increasing efficiency, as plant parameters and operating statuses are usually not transparent.
In the research project Link4Pro The aim of the project was to develop a system for the flexible networking of systems that enables the combination of existing and previously unused data sources. These are now being analysed using modern analysis methods and artificial intelligence. Weak points and unused potential are recognised promptly and precisely. Thanks to flexible networking, companies will be able to improve their own production processes with little effort in the future and thus sustainably increase productivity.
The project consortium consisted of system developers, component manufacturers, system integrators and production companies with multi-stage manufacturing processes. The research project was led by the Fraunhofer Institute for Manufacturing Engineering and Automation. In addition to Software Factory, 10 other partners from industry and research worked on the development of a technical-operational solution, which was evaluated in pilot implementations for use in industrial practice in order to ensure the transfer of the project results.
