Smart Factory for TRW Airbag Systems - Line 2000 - Fault analysis
Fault analysis
A not inconsiderable proportion of the costs are attributable to repeat errors, i.e. errors that could be avoided by passing on experience. Avoiding these faults can therefore mobilise considerable cost-saving potential. In order to realise this potential, it is necessary to systematically record, analyse and evaluate faults and introduce appropriate countermeasures.
Against this background, Software Factory has therefore developed a procedure for recording, analysing and evaluating faults as part of the „Line 2000” project of TRW Airbag Systems in recent years.
The „Fault analysis” application helps to find critical process components in order to carry out targeted process optimisation.
Faults, maintenance and repairs to components can be recorded via a simple and user-friendly interface. Numerous reports are available for analysing faults. All results can be printed and saved as an Excel document.
The following evaluation functions are available:
- Time-dependent analyses (month, year) with filter function
- Top10 diagram: Bar chart of the fault frequency in relation to the fault type or the component with filter function
- Top10 list: Fault frequency in relation to the fault type or component with filter function
- List of faults (detailed view) with filter function
- Fault list for mould change
The „Fault analysis” application is implemented in Java and therefore runs on all common platforms. All data is stored in an Oracle or MySQL database.
