Smart Factory: mGRemoteService - For mGuard from Innominate

The mGRemoteService is the software solution for using mGuard technology to establish a connection between the machine and the Service Gateway and to monitor and supervise the connections on the Service Gateway. The mGRemoteService consists of the following components:

• mGRemoteService Client
• mGRemoteService Server

The mGRemoteService Client is divided into the components Client API with the functions for establishing and terminating connections and a user interface for interactive connection establishment and termination. The implementation is in Java and therefore platform-independent.

The mGRemoteService Server contains the components and functions for the Service Gateway. Incoming connections and machine information are accepted, analysed, displayed and logged in the Service Gateway.

Contact persons can be stored in a database for the machine information so that the relevant contact person can be notified by email in the event of servicing.

In addition, a report function is available with which all service requests can be output with corresponding information such as customer, machine, duration, etc. This information can be used as the basis for calculating costs for the service request or controlling. Thanks to a defined XML interface, the server can also be used by other clients if integration of the mGRemoteService client in the machine or system is not possible.
